Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

Description

The WILDPEAK A/T3W is engineered for adventure, any time and in any weather. The A/T3W combines aggressive off-road ability and rugged terrain driving without compromise on the pavement. An optimized tread design combined with a silica tread compound enable the A/T3W to excel in three areas: wear, winter, and wet performance. Designed for severe snow conditions, every A/T3W tire is qualified by the Rubber Manufacturers Association for the Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) symbol. The A/T3W is packed with technology, from Falken’s patented 3D Canyon Sipes to an all-new proprietary lower sidewall. Full-depth sipes and grooves maintain consistent performance and appearance throughout the life of the tire.

  • Outer apex sidewall protects the sidewall from heat buildup and trail/road hazards, promoting strong handling and durability
  • 3D Canyon Sipe Technology adds biting edges for improved ice braking and locks together in dry conditions for better handling and tread wear
  • Aggressive upper sidewall and offset shoulder blocks protect the sidewall from damage and provide extra grip off-road
  • Silica tread compound for long life and powerful wet traction
  • Heat diffuser technology diffuses heat build-up, protecting the tire’s internal components and promoting lasting stability
  • Rugged, rigid tread blocks eject stones while enhancing handling and stability
  • Deepest tread in the category for long life and consistent traction on wet and snowy roads through the tire’s life
  • Mountain/snowflake symbol – meets performance standards for severe snow conditions

Last winter I was diagnosed with cancer and had to travel to Seattle for chemotherapy and radiation with 1 to 2 feet of snow and ice and blizzard conditions going to and coming back over Snoqualmie pass I had trucks and cars slipping and spinning off the road around me doing 75 to 80 I didn't slip or spin once trust me they are the best tires I've ever bought. Living in the country where snow is deeper my driveway is about half mile from the road and two occasions snow over the hood of my truck didn't get stuck once very impressed.

I have a set of 305/55/20's on my 2018 Silverado. I'm thrilled about how well they handle the snow and the performance on the highway as well. A little road noise but nothing overwhelming. Very happy I purchased these tires.

Great on wet pavement! When cornering sharply the sidewalk hums loudly but they grip well. All good things.

They were awesome in the deep snow, worked well in the slushy snow too. On ice they performed better than I thought they should. Even though I carry chains I never had to use them.. Mostly because I was in a rural area. I would indefinitely buy these again. They're awesome in the rain.
